PATTERN!!
This task really grasped my enthusiasm! I loveeeee working with colour and pattern, I didn't find this particularly challenging as it's one of my more focused are of working. I found it most therapeutic actually. I would of liked to have done more to be honest, but due to the amount of detail, it't difficult to fit in quantity over quality.
The second part of this task was to apply our patterns to an object or landscape, anything really. I decided to wait for when I went back home to Devon so I could use my family and the beach. I ended up using this effective pose of my little sister, she found a beautiful shell, and realised it was broken, I liked that her eye fit through the gap just right. - Media used: Watercolour Intense pencils, fine liner and Gel pen. I really enjoyed this task!
Here is a colour opposite example. - red to green, yellow to purple, blue to orange.
