Portraiture

*This session was on Portraiture, and trying to capture the essence of a person. 

* My subject was Abby! :) 

*This one is in charcoal,  A2 its a large canvas. It's not a great resemblance as I most probably stood too close to the paper! Naturally she has large features...and I have a tendency of making eyes large by accident..I wouldn't say they are too bug actually, but she does look a bit startled. 

*Portrait of Abby in the park reading. Graphite. I'm really happy with this! I believe its very accurate, I did spend a few hours on this so It should be really!

*After recording her as realistically as possible.  We then had to illustrate the person in a more expressive way, so I decided to concentrate on her expressive appearance, highlighting the colours! :)

* Graphite and gouache paint.
