Descriptive sentences/words in order to inspire a starting point:
As I was observing this carving I saw a beak like image, like a birds head in the center of the design and under that it looked like 2 knights/soldiers/ just men were stood below this bird like creature. Which then made me think of a cage/entrapment.
Thought process on the page:
After thinking of a cage I liked the idea of taking the carvings patterns and turning them into an abstract product design for a beautiful bird cage, an ornate intricate one. Then I went on to think about entrapment, and suddenly how menacing this carving seemed to me, in response I designed a surreal demon, bird-like creature that eat the souls of courageous men.
